We pride ourselves in having a more environmentally minded approach to arboriculture with sustainability and community at our core.

 

We strive to offer the best for our clients, providing positive change for our customers as well as the community, and the environment we live in. We achieve this through the work we deliver, our community input and the way we conduct our business.

FREDDIE FISHER

Director & Head Arborist

Originally from the UK where he grew up surrounded by horticulture, by the age of 20 Freddie had received a Diploma in Horticulture (Landscape Design).

 

Freddie moved to New Zealand in 2007, and built on his horticultural background by retraining in Hamilton NZ, obtaining an Advanced Certificate in Arboriculture, for which he received an award for academic achievement after finishing studying.

 

Alongside running the Arboricultural side of the business, Freddie is currently part way through a Diploma in Arboriculture.

LISA FISHER

Director & Head Horticulturalist

Lisa studied floristry and horticulture at Wintec before starting her own landscaping business in 2006.

 

Lisa’s role at Treelands is not only creating landscape solutions for our wonderful clients, she is also the chief administrator and organiser - basically the oil that keeps all the gears turning!  Lisa is the friendly voice at the other end of the phone when you call Treelands.  She loves all things green. Lisa was Garden Manager of Sarnia Park for 5 years; now a mother of two, she works in the office as well as in the field

DAVE PENDLETON

Director & Arborist

Dave, his wife and 4 girls moved to NZ from the UK 2017. After 8 years in the army, Dave retrained in Arboriculture, gaining his City and Guilds Level 3 in Arboriculture and Forestry (equivalent to level 4 NZQA).

Dave worked for ‘Hi-Line Contractors’ undertaking private and local authority work which enabled him to hone his skills as an arborist, undertaking a range of pruning, planting , and tree removals, as well as habitat and ecology work.

 

Dave and his wife Bertie volunteer as leaders with the Te Awamutu scout group, where they regularly work with the local community and groups such as the National Wetlands Trust.

Dave and his family have thoroughly enjoyed the lifestyle and the people since moving to NZ

KEVIN KEREOPA

Arborist

Originally from Taumarunui, Kevin is the oldest of 5 siblings. Being part of a large family means that Kevins no stranger to hard work and working well in a team. He studied arboriculture at Wintec gaining his level 3 and working towards level 4 in arboriculture.

Kevin enjoys the arboriculture industry because of the strong team work involved and “being around top-notch blokes”. But his real passion lies in skateboarding, and he see the skatepark as home.

LIAM KLAUS

Trainee Arborist

Liam is the youngest member of our team and is currently studying for his level 3 in arboriculture at Wintec. He’s enjoying learning about our industry and loves how much knowledge is required to be a good arborist.

A sportsman’s through and through Liam has competed at national level for swimming but now enjoys playing sport more for fun and spending time outdoors.
